FOUNDATION X — AUDIO ENGINEERING & MUSIC PRODUCTION COURSE

Learn how to record, mix, and master professional-quality music using real-world studio techniques. This program walks students step-by-step from beginner fundamentals to full-scale professional projects. Students complete hands-on lessons in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and FL Studio while building a release-ready song portfolio.

Curriculum & Programs

Foundation X gives students real-world audio engineering and creative tech skills in a studio-style learning environment. Every program is hands-on: students don’t just learn about music production — they record, produce, mix, and complete real projects.

  • Middle & high school students (ages 12–19)
  • Beginners with zero experience
  • Young creatives already making beats or recording

What Students Learn

Studio Fundamentals & Signal Flow

Microphones, interfaces, gain staging, and studio setup.

Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)

Hands-on training in Pro Tools and FL Studio: editing, arranging, and recording.

Recording & Vocal Production

Mic technique, booth etiquette, and recording vocals or podcasts.

Beatmaking & Music Production

Drums, melodies, sound selection, arrangement, and composition.

Mixing & Intro to Mastering

EQ, compression, reverb, delay, panning, automation, and loudness.

Podcasting & Content Creation

Scripting, interviewing, multi-person recording, and editing.

Creative Entrepreneurship

Branding, publishing, copyrights, distribution, and monetization.

Students finish with a completed project, a starter portfolio, and a Foundation X Certificate of Completion.

After-School Audio Engineering & Music Production (15 Weeks)

Cohort A – Early Week

  • Days: Monday & Wednesday
  • Time: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Length: 15 weeks
  • Students: 10–15

Cohort B – Late Week

  • Days: Tuesday & Thursday
  • Time: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Length: 15 weeks
  • Students: 10–15

Summer Creative Tech Lab Intensive

  • Length: 4 weeks
  • Days: Monday – Thursday
  • Session 1 (Morning): 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Session 2 (Afternoon): 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Times may adjust based on final schedule.

Students complete a major project (EP, beat tape, or podcast pilot) and present their work at the Summer Showcase.

Final Project & Certification

Deliverable: Track, edit, mix & master one original song.

Submission: Final mix & master for review.

Outcome: Foundation X Certified Audio Engineer Badge.
